Chigwell stabbing: Ayodele Osifuwa dies from injuries

A 17-year-old boy from east London has died two months after being stabbed in Essex.

Ayodele Osifuwa, from Plaistow, was admitted to the Royal London Hospital after being stabbed in Limes Avenue, Chigwell, on 9 December.

Marcus Audain, 20, of no fixed address, had already been charged with assault and Essex Police said the case had now become a homicide inquiry.

Mr Audain is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 17 March.

The victim, who lived on Chesterton Road, died on Friday.

The defendant had already been remanded in custody since being charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
