Sport Relief: DJ Jo Whiley's 26-hour treadmill triumph

20 March 2014 Last updated at 22:58 GMT

DJ Jo Whiley has completed her Sport Relief challenge, defying a thigh injury and blisters to keep going for 26-hours on a treadmill outside BBC New Broadcasting House in London.

Speaking afterwards, the broadcaster said: "It was a bit gruelling but you do these things because it's Sport Relief and we all want to help people".

She was taking part in BBC Radio Around the World for Sport Relief, in which figures from the BBC's local and national radio stations are attempting to run, swim and cycle a combined distance of 25,000 miles - roughly equivalent to the distance around the equator.
