This week's Meet the Author is with Sunday Times critic and Oxford University professor, John Carey.
His work, "The Unexpected Professor: an Oxford Life in Books", is an autobiography interspersed with essays on writers he admires.
Professor Carey spoke to Nick Higham about his relationship with literature.
