James Corden has backed plans to make BBC Three an online only channel.

The Gavin and Stacey star said the nature of television was "changing massively" and the channel was following the example of other online services such as Netflix.

He told BBC Radio 5 live's Richard Bacon: "BBC Three as a channel should always be at the forefront of things that are new and exciting."

"So long as BBC Three keeps making interesting shows and good shows that are aimed at a young audience then that audience will find it."
