Primary school sport gets £150m boost

Primary schools in England will share an extra £150m per year sports funding until 2020, Prime Minister David Cameron has announced.

The direct funding scheme for school sport, announced last year, will be extended for a further five years if the Conservatives win the next election.

Mr Cameron said it was important to "get them early. Doing [this] at primary school will get children really excited about... sport."
