New Year Honours delight and questions over Christmas power cuts in papers

Many papers focus on the New Year's Honours list, with the Times pointing out that women have taken the majority of awards for the first time. Among them, it says, is Alison Carnwath who led shareholder efforts to stop bankers' bonuses.
Like the Times, the Guardian has an image of actress Penelope Keith, who becomes a dame. It quotes ex-Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt saying MPs' failure to back military action in Syria created constitutional problems.
Keith also smiles out from the front of the Daily Mail, which declares "Good Life Margot's a dame at last". Its lead story focuses on the increasing number of UK town centres "blighted by alcohol", quoting Home Office figures.
The Daily Telegraph pictures entrepreneur Karren Brady, who is made CBE. Its main report says Lib Dem ministers are claiming that businesses will desert Britain, putting the economic recovery at risk, if people vote for UKIP.
Lynda Bellingham is the TV star whose picture is on the front Daily Express. Its lead story quotes research suggesting that adopting a healthy diet, one low in fat, in middle age can help fight off Alzheimer's disease.
The Financial Times pictures sculptor Antony Gormley, who's made a knight. Its main report says MPs will question heads of power network operators over the time it took to restore supplies to homes affected by the Christmas storms.
The i also focuses on the power cuts, specifically bonuses paid to owners of one distribution firm. It says there has been a demand for customers to get compensation from the £135m paid to Power Networks Holdings' owners.
The Sun has spoken to Romanian migrants taking a bus to the UK, where work restrictions will be eased on 1 January. It says some "cheekily vowed to steal and beg as they boarded".
The Daily Star teases its readers by revealing that two stars of BBC show Strictly Come Dancing have married in secret. But it's not revealing who they are on the front page.
The Daily Mirror claims to have identified the rocks on to which seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher fell while skiing. As it went to print, the German star was said to have been "fighting for life".
