Man dies after being punched at Halifax nightclub
A man has died after being punched at a nightclub.
The 38-year-old fell to the floor after being hit during an incident at a venue in Commercial Street, Halifax. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The attack happened at about 02.20 GMT on Sunday, West Yorkshire Police said.
It is believed the man who threw the punch may be unaware what happened to the victim, and officers have appealed for him and any other witnesses to come forward.
Det Chf Insp Nick Wallen said: "We believe this man left the venue almost immediately afterwards, so he will probably not know the outcome of his actions.
"That is why I am appealing for him and any other witnesses to this incident to come forward and help the police with their enquiries."
