Follow Me: The photographer on a Twitter trail

12 February 2014 Last updated at 00:30 GMT

Photographer Travis Hodges was sceptical about signing up to the social network Twitter.

He decided he would only do it if he could use Twitter as a creative tool, and as a way to meet people in real life.

So began Travis's "Follow Me" project - a way of meeting and getting to know people before photographing them.

The project has resulted in a chain of 19 portrait subjects so far.

He believes he can capture on camera something you wouldn't normally see: a person's distinct online personality.
