Man charged over cyclists' deaths

Man charged with killing two cyclists in Berkshire

A motorist has been charged with causing the deaths of two cyclists who were struck by a car.

Alexander Farrar Walters, of Beech Road, Purley-on-Thames, is accused of killing the male cyclists in the Berkshire village on Thursday night.

He is also charged with aggravated vehicle-taking, driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance.

The 31-year-old will appear before Reading Magistrates Court on Monday.

The cyclists have been named locally as father-of-two John Moorland, 30, and Kris Jarvis, 39, a father of five.
