Doctor Who regeneration tops Christmas Day TV ratings
Matt Smith is being replaced as Doctor Who by Peter Capaldi The regeneration of Doctor Who was the most watched piece of Christmas Day television with 10.2 million viewers viewing the five-minute sequence.
However the most watched entire show was Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas Special which averaged 9.4 million viewers.
An average of 8.3 million watched Matt Smith's final appearance as the Doctor.
